hello, this might seems a bit simple.... but do you have any tips for attaching the lights board to a combi trailer? It just seems to be awkward when I tie it on and I get the feels it is flapping about a bit or ends up not straight . The cover is a flat towing one. The lights board has a hole at both ends.
Thanks for any thoughts.

Vehicle regulations?
I'm not sure as to whether fixing it to the boat (as opposed to it constituting a dedicated part of the trailer) would be legal here in Germany. Have you checked what the regulations in your country say about this ?

I looked on the internet and it seems that if the trailer is more than 1.3 metres wide then the lights board should have a fog light in the uk, but I'm not entirely sure. I think new regs are in force on newly built boat trailers.

Trailers etc
The law on trailers in the UK is really incomprehensible to human kind. If stopped, you will be alright so long as you have been sensible in what you are doing.

attaching the light board
My light board wedges nicely between the pintle and gudgeon on the transom. I tie a line around each end of the board and bring them forward to the shroud anchor plates. Another line is tied from the end of the light board, around the trailer crossmember (under the boat) and back to the opposite end of the lightboard. I add a bungy cord to this lower line to tension it and pass the upper lines over the rowlocks to hold them in place.
