Control lines back to the helm

Hi,

Just bought a Mirror in the summer to teach family friend children how to sail. Some of the children are as young as 3 therefore ideally I would like to bring back all the control lines to the helm. Can any mirror owners with control lines coming back to the helm (ie kicker, outhaul and downhaul) take some photos and post them to this forum or send to peter@wavelets.co.uk. I am very interested to know which position the cleats should be in, under the thwart, on top of thwart or on the deck?

Thanks for your wisdom.

Regards
Peter

I think with very young children, there is no need to be adjusting kicker, outhaul or downhaul. The boat will sail all day with them fixed, unless you are seriously racing. I sail single handed and I can reach all of them if necessary. The main sheet and jib sheet are all that are really needed for simple sailing.
