Hi,
I wrote a (lengthy!) post yesterday, to which a number of members (mirrorpete; sail_and_oar; curlew) kindly responded with useful advice.
As of this morning, the post is nowhere to be seen? Has there been a server/database issue resulting in data-loss? Or what the post purposefully removed? (If the latter, could you please explain what I did wrong so that I can avoid such mistakes in the future. Nothing that I wrote seemed particularly troublesome!).
Many thanks,
Gavin.

Mea culpa (Perhaps)?
Hello Gavin,
I was reading your post and the answers last night and decitded to try pasting the URLs of your dropbox pictures into an style tag in your post (as admin, I am able to tamper with users' entries), trying to display the pictures directly in your post. Perhaps the dropbox access scripts don't agree with the SQL access scripts used by our Drupal software.
At first I could still see the start of your posting, so I decided to log out and not save anything I'd done, in the hope that the alterations were only locally in my computer's cache. When I logged in again, the entire post was gone.
I shall refrain from similar experiments in future - please forgive me.
This is a definite reminder that I shall have to delve deeper into the mechanisms of the Drupal installation and SQL databases in general. I don't even know where the respective database files are on our server at present.

I welcome you to the forum and apologize once more for the inconvenience.
Cheers

Back on the list
Hello from my alter ego (the non-admin one).
I found the texts were still on my "dashboard" and have hit the"update" button, so now at least the answers are back on-screen. Unfortunately Gavin's original text has been castrated.
Sorry once more.
