The Ontario Mirror Dinghy Association cooperated with the 63rd Windsor Boy Scouts to introduce the young lads to Mirror Dinghy sailing.
Mirror Sailing Development, the licenced Canadian Mirror Kit vendor, donated a Mirror kit and the boy scouts with the help of their leaders and Don Alp (an OMDA member) built their own Mirror Dinghy.
On the weekend of June 6,7 and 8, a number of OMDA members met up with the Windsor Scouts at the Pittock Conservation Area to enjoy the launching and maiden voyage of their new
Mirror Dinghy.
Then the attending OMDA members took all of the Scouts out on Pittock Lake to give them their first real experience in sailing a Mirror Dinghy.
Who knows, in a few years we may have a rather large fleet of Mirror sailors in the Windsor Ontario area.
Steve Richardson, an OMDA member and a leader of the 63rd Windsor Scouts was responsible for organizing this event. A good time was had by all.

Thanks for the reminder
Hi Pete, I forgot to add this link to our forum. The blog now has pictures of the launch day. Are they using an old sail? I'd thought that it should have a 70 k hull number.

I took the liberty of cloning a picture:
