Bow Gunel and V painter plate

Does anybody know what wood was used/ supplied or suggested with a kit/plans for a 1976 mirror. Sadly mine has rotted and snapped so it needs replacing. The wood looks like it's Iroko but it is 40 years old and I can't be 100% sure just by look with years of varnish on it.

Any help would be appreciated.

So I am off to the local wood yard. I'I take the bits with me and see what they can suggest it is and purchase some while I'm there for the job.

No idea.
But I used a bit of mahogany I had lying around.But I hear it doesn't like salt water,So I hope the resin and varnish keeps it out.
