After several years of sailing / racing single handed / single sail dinghies I decided it was time to do some proper river sailing; perhaps my inspiration was the adventures on Mirror Cruising you tube channel on South Coast of England,
Bought a good wooden boat built by a shipbuilder, I’ve just converted to centre main block but still learning replacing fittings of still and many questions,

Welcome !
It's good to hear that there are still converts to the class.
I appreciate that sailing with the rear mainsheet arrangement takes some getting used to if you've sailed conventionally-rigged dinghies for years. I thought it odd when I bought "Puffin" in the mid - 1980s, but as I had not sailed regularly for almost 20 years at the time, I soon adjusted and now I find it pleasant that I've only got the jib sheets in the centre and can put my cooler-box behind the centreboard case and still have room to sit on the cockpit floor (check out the first few seconds of https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZmF2wKiMl68 for an idea of a full cruising boat ;-) ).
I hope you're able to enjoy this season and will write some accounts of your experiences!
Cheers,
Gernot H.
