Hello! I was gifted a Mirror in 2023 by the daughter (and her husband) of the original builder. It is of wooden construction, made in Montreal in the 1950's or 60's. It doesn't have a number on the hull, but the sail number is 16126. I'm fixing it up, but it is sailing beautifully, here on the Ottawa river. We are located in Beachburg, Ontario, Canada. Let me know if you need any further information.

Hello and welcome to the Mirrorist hangout.
Sorry about the late response, I was on holiday at the Baltic and offline most of the time this past week.
Have you inspected the interior surface of the transom to look for the imprhessed or carved number? There is a list of hull numbers vs. kit manufacture year at https://www.mirrorsailing.org/index.php/dinghy/buyers-guide which puts your number 16126 at a 1969 vintage.
I'm happy to hear that you enjoy sailing her and am looking forward to reading some experience reports.
Cheers,
Gernot H.

But I forgot to ask for the name.

Regarding the transom - when I got her the transom was largely rotten so a friend had to make a repair. Whatever was there, if there was something, is now gone. Maybe I should put that number on the new transom. It didn't come with a name and we haven't named her yet. Still working on that.

Thanks for the response!
